2010 Porsche Panamera
- All-new model
An all-new model for 2010, the Panamera is Porsche’s first completely new model line since it introduced the Cayenne.
The four-door Panamera comes as the rear-wheel drive S, and as the 4S and Turbo, both with all-wheel drive. All use a 4.8-litre V8 direct-injection engine that’s naturally aspirated in the S and 4S, and uses twin turbochargers in the Turbo. All use a seven-speed PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe) double-clutch gearbox: the unit is basically a manual transmission that shifts itself. It includes a manual shift mode, but has no clutch pedal.
Features on the S include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, tire pressure monitoring system, Active Suspension Management electronically-controlled damper system, chrome window surrounds, water-repellent glass, power sunroof, auto up/down windows, keyless entry, automatic trunk lid, rain-sensing wipers, heated washer nozzles, heated power-folding mirrors, auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors, Park Assist, cruise control, trip computer, hard-drive-based navigation system, leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, automatic bi-xenon headlamps with automatic dynamic range control and washers, LED turn signals, driver and passenger knee airbags, rear side airbags, eight-way power heated front seats, driver’s side memory, 60/40 split-folding two-passenger rear seats, continuous centre console and rear folding armrest, cargo cover, and locking and cooled glovebox.
The 4S adds Porsche Traction Management with active all-wheel drive, leather door trim and console armrest panels, and high-gloss black interior package.
The Turbo adds 19-inch alloy wheels, adaptive air suspension with load-levelling system and adjustable ride height, red brake calipers, turbo-specific front air intakes, titanium-coloured rear air diffuser, adaptive rear spoiler, twin-tube tailpipes, Bose Surround Sound system, adaptive headlamps, 14-way power seats with memory package, rear heated seats, power tilt and telescopic multi-function steering wheel, leather-trimmed dashboard, and Alcantara headliner.
