2011 GMC Sierra HD

For 2011, the GMC Sierra heavy-duty (HD) 2500 and 3500 models are all-new, including frames, styling, independent front suspension, a new 6.6-litre Duramax turbodiesel, and new features including a “smart” exhaust brake and hill start assist.
The Sierra HD is also sold as the Chevrolet Silverado HD. Light-duty 1500 models are covered in a separate section.
The Sierra HD is available in regular, extended cab and crew cab models, in two- or four-wheel drive, and with a 6.0-litre V8 gasoline engine or available Duramax 6.6-litre V8 diesel. Both use six-speed automatic transmissions: a Hydra-Matic 6L90 with the gasoline engine, and Allison 1000 with the diesel. The 3500 models are available in single-wheel or dual-wheel versions.
Depending on the trim line, standard or available features include three-bar grilles, louvered hood, chromed steel front bumper, trailer sway control, integrated trailer brake control, USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, XM satellite radio, and navigation system.
The Denali trim line, which comes only in a crew cab, includes four-bar chrome grille, body-colour bumpers, polished forged aluminum wheels, brushed aluminum interior trim, power-adjustable pedals, Bose premium audio system and twelve-way power seats.
