2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee

With an all-new, redesigned 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee on the way, the 2010 model slims down. Only three trim lines are available: the new North Edition, SRT8, and the Limited, which can be further optioned with an S Limited package. The 3.0-litre diesel and 4.7-litre V8 have been discontinued, but the 3.7-litre V6 adds Interactive Decel Fuel Shut-Off, which shuts off the fuel supply during deceleration for improved fuel consumption.
All models receive new standard leather interior trim, chrome exterior accents, a full-size spare and a fuel saver indicator, while the Limited receives extra chrome, and new standard tires. Three option packages are discontinued, while the optional Sun/Sound package adds an upgraded stereo.
The Grand Cherokee is available with a 3.7-litre V6 in the North Edition; it can be optioned to a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 that is the standard engine in the Limited. The SRT8 uses a 6.1-litre Hemi V8. All use a five-speed automatic transmission. Three four-wheel drive systems are available on the regular models. Quadra-Trac I, a single-speed transfer case that splits the torque 48/52 front to rear, is standard on the North Edition. Quadra-Trac II uses a two-speed active transfer case and is standard on the Limited, and available on the North Edition. Quadra-Drive II, optional on the Limited and on the V8-equipped North Edition, is a full-time transfer case with electronic limited-slip differentials. The SRT8 uses electronic active four-wheel drive.
Features on the North Edition include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, flip-up liftgate glass, privacy glass, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, heated mirrors, black roof rails, power sunroof, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear washer/wiper, assist handles, reversible cargo floor panel, cargo cover, overhead console, keyless entry, vehicle information centre, floor mats, locking glovebox, garage door opener, auto-dimming rearview mirror, power-adjustable pedals, 115-volt power outlet, DVD/HDD stereo with 30 GB hard drive and auxiliary input, Sirius satellite radio, remote starter, eight-way driver and four-way passenger power-adjustable heated leather seats, 60/40 split-folding second-row seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, illuminated vanity mirrors, auto up/down front windows, cruise control, rear park assist, backup camera, security system, and tire pressure monitoring system.
The Limited adds dual-zone infrared automatic climate control, chrome grille, intelligent high beam control, auto-dimming rearview mirrors, chrome roof rails, rain-sensing wipers, driver’s side memory, heated second-row seats, rear foldaway centre armrest with storage, and two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls.
The S Limited adds 18-inch alloy wheels, body-colour sill extensions, xenon headlamps, climate control with solar sensors, and premium leather seats with suede microfibre inserts.
