2011 Buick Regal
NEW FOR 2011:
- All-new model
An all-new model for 2011, the Buick Regal shares only its name with the Regal sedan that was last produced for 2004.
Based on the Opel Insignia, the Regal will initially be imported from Germany, but production will move to GM’s plant in Oshawa, Ontario. For 2011, it is offered only in premium CXL trim, with additional trim levels coming for 2012.
The Regal uses a 2.4-litre direct-injected four-cylinder engine, with an optional 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder available in early 2011. Both engines use a six-speed automatic. Shortly after the turbocharged engine is introduced, a six-speed manual transmission will be available for it.
Features on the CXL include 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, fog lamps, heated mirrors, cargo net, cruise control, driver information centre, floor mats, keyless entry, front auto up/down windows, auto-down rear windows, leather-wrapped tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, illuminated vanity mirrors, eight-way driver and four-way passenger power-adjustable heated leather seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seatbacks, CD/MP3 stereo, Bluetooth connectivity, USB and auxiliary input, XM satellite radio, tire pressure monitor, and OnStar with six months Directions and Connections plan.
Available options include a navigation system with 40-GB hard-drive stereo, Harman/Kardon nine-speaker premium audio system, rear seat side airbags, and rear park assist.
